Job Summary
Obtain patient history and perform physical exams, interpret diagnostic testing, and develop treatment plans including prescribing medications and birth control. Provide patient instruction on preventive care, counsel HIV+ clients, and manage medication or surgical abortion follow-up. Perform procedures such as colposcopy and IUD insertion, refer patients for prenatal or adoption services, and supervise clinic support staff. Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient clinic flow, maintain accurate documentation, and meet quality assurance and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Current active, unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse and APN in state you are applying for the role
- Ability to obtain additional state license(s) upon hire
- Active license as a Physician Assistant
- Current national board-certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse or a Physician Assistant
- DEA license
- Ability to obtain DEA license at hire
- Enrollment in Controlled Substance Monitoring Program as applicable in state
- Advanced degree, minimally Master's Degree
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification for healthcare providers
- Hepatitis B vaccination records
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination records or proof of immunization
- Tuberculosis PPD Skin Test that is no older than 12 months
- Ability to obtain additional state license(s) upon hire or active license as a Physician Assistant
