Job Summary
Obtain patient history and perform physical exams, then order and interpret screening and diagnostic tests while addressing abnormal findings. Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide patient instruction on preventive care and health promotion. Collaborate with medical directors and clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow, document care accurately, and maintain HIPAA compliance. Perform procedures including colposcopy and IUD insertion, counsel HIV+ clients, and refer patients for prenatal or adoption services. Follow medical standards and guidelines to meet quality assurance requirements and stay current on reproductive health developments.
Required Qualifications
- Current active, unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse and APN in state you are applying for the role
- Ability to obtain additional state license(s) upon hire
- Active license as a Physician Assistant
- Current national board-certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse or a Physician Assistant
- DEA license
- Enrollment in Controlled Substance Monitoring Program as applicable in state you are applying for the role
- Advanced degree, minimally Master's Degree
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification for healthcare providers
- Hepatitis B vaccination records
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination records or proof of immunization
- Tuberculosis PPD Skin Test that is no older than 12 months
- Ability to obtain additional state license(s) upon hire
- Enrollment in Controlled Substance Monitoring Program as applicable in state you are applying for the role
