Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Job Summary

Provide first-aid, medical treatment, and follow-up care to occupationally ill or injured workers at a large-scale construction site in Boise, ID. Conduct regulatory testing, TB screenings, immunizations, and wellness programs including flu shots and smoking cessation coaching. Coordinate health surveillance, return-to-work clearances, and travel care while managing clinic operations, medical records, and OSHA documentation. Maintain HIPAA compliance and communicate with the Medical Director and client management to expedite injury reporting. Write prescriptions as needed and perform case management for employee absences.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Idaho with national certification
  • Current DEA license
  • Current ACLS/BLS certifications
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years' advanced practice experience
  • Prior occupational medicine experience
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability of maintaining privacy and confidentiality
  • Strong critical thinking skills; problem solving, and decision making
  • Must have the ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to create and edit written materials
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and clients
  • Strong time management, organizational, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to meet and exceed daily and weekly individual performance goals
  • Ability to work independently as well as assisting other team members when needed
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
  • Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
