Job Summary
Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (APP/NP) needed at Elmhurst Hospital's Level IIe Special Care Nursery to work collaboratively with a neonatologist and independently as part of the neonatal interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities include delivering care to newborns in L&D, newborn nursery, and NICU, maintaining accurate medical records, performing procedures (PPV, intubation, central lines, chest tubes), contributing to policy and QI initiatives, and supporting clinical research. The role emphasizes autonomous patient management and collaboration within a high-volume neonatal service. Competitive hourly rate and per diem scheduling with flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- APRN licensure in IL
- Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License
- BLS for Healthcare Provider and NRP certifications
- American Board of Pediatrics eligibility or NCC certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
- Neonatal PA fellowship completion or equivalent
- 5+ years IP Newborn or Pediatric experience preferred
- Master's level education in pediatric specialty area
Desired Qualifications
