Job Summary
Per Diem Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Elmhurst Hospital (IL). Works as a Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider to deliver medical care to newborn patients in L&D, NICU, and neonatal care settings under physician supervision and as an autonomous member of the neonatal interdisciplinary team. Performs and facilitates procedures such as PPV, intubation, central lines, chest tubes, and contributes to policy development, QI monitoring, and clinical research participation. Requires IL APRN licensure, DEA license, IL-controlled substance license, BLS, NRP, and board eligibility or certification as a Neonatal NP (NCC) with pediatric residency or master's-level training. Minimum of 5+ years of IP newborn/pediatric experience preferred. Hourly pay up to $90 for per diem hours (flat rate), with a stated range of $64.89-$90.85 and a guaranteed $90/hour per diem.| Endeavor Health system context and facility details, 24/7 unit operation, and scope of practice within Level IIe Special Care Nursery.
Required Qualifications
- APRN Licensure in IL
- Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License
- Education: Master's level program in specialty area (pediatrics) or accredited pediatric residency
- BLS for Healthcare Provider
- NRP certification
- NCC certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or certificate from neonatal PA fellowship
- 5+ years IP Newborn/Pediatric experience preferred
