Job Summary
Per diem Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Elmhurst Hospital (Elmhurst, IL). Provide medical care to newborn patients in L&D, newborn nursery, and NICU during scheduled shifts under physician supervision and as part of the neonatal interdisciplinary care team. Independently perform or assist with procedures such as PPV, intubation, central lines, and chest tubes; maintain accurate medical records; participate in policy/procedure development and quality improvement initiatives; serve as a clinical skills resource for staff and participate in potential clinical research. Hourly pay is $90 for per diem hours with flexible scheduling; institution emphasizes collaboration with neonatology and the broader Endeavor Health system.
Required Qualifications
- APRN Licensure in the State of IL
- Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
- Master's level program in pediatrics or pediatric residency
- BLS for Healthcare Provider and NRP certifications
- American Board of Pediatrics eligibility or NCC neonatal NP certification
- 5+ years of IP Newborn or Pediatric experience preferred
