Job Summary
Provide peer advocacy and crisis intervention to people living with mental health, substance use, or social determinants of health in Putnam County; collaborate with MCOT and community providers to address referrals, perform triage/screening, link to appropriate care, and support safety planning; build peer connections using shared lived experiences, promote recovery and wellness, and complete documentation per agency policies; requires High School Diploma and completion of peer services training with NY State Peer Specialist Certification ability; bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred; per diem, as-needed schedule in Garrison, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma Required
- Completion of the Academy of Peer Services Training
- Ability to obtain NY State Peer Specialist Certification
- Two years in recovery from acute care environment
- Valid/Clean Driver's License
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of recovery and wellness vs. illness-based system (preferred)
