Job Summary
Per Diem Medical Technologist needed at Bristol Health to perform a wide variety of complex clinical laboratory tests under supervision, rotate to lab sections, ensure accurate specimen labeling and results, and maintain quality control and instrument performance. Requires a BS in Medical Technology or related science, 1 year microbiology experience preferred, and ASCP certification strongly preferred. Responsibilities include STAT turnaround adherence, LIS usage, safety compliance, inventory management, and collaboration with department staff to ensure quality patient care. 0-4+ year professional scope implied by MT role; candidate should be capable of working independently after initial competency and be adaptable to variable daily tasks in a hospital laboratory setting.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Medical Technology (MT) or Bachelor’s in Chemical, Physical or Biological Sciences
- One (1) year minimum experience in Microbiology preferred
- ASCP Certification strongly preferred
