Job Summary
Conduct patient history reviews, perform laboratory tests including venipuncture, and administer contraceptive supplies and medications. Monitor vital signs, provide unbiased patient education on reproductive health options, and assist clinicians with surgical procedures and ultrasound services. Manage inventory control, process lab results, and refer patients per protocol while maintaining complete electronic documentation. Follow all federal, state, and local laws regarding mandated reporting and HIPAA. This per diem role supports the reproductive health program at Planned Parenthood North Central States in Omaha, NE. Candidates receive comprehensive paid training covering classroom, mock clinic, and shadowing shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assisting diploma program, or Associate degree in Medical Assisting, or current EMT/Paramedic licensure, or 6+ months experience as a Health Center Associate II at PPNCS
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate for healthcare providers
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Active LPN License in Nebraska
- Hepatitis B vaccination records
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination records or proof of immunization
- Tuberculosis PPD Skin Test that is no older than 12 months
- Background investigation results
