Job Summary
Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) per diem at People USA's Ulster County Crisis Support Center in Kingston, NY. Provides oversight and direct services to individuals (including youth) and family therapeutic services, including assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning. Responsibilities include addressing referrals from community providers, crisis de-escalation and therapeutic interventions, leading daily huddles, collaborating with individuals, families, and external partners, completing documentation (biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning), maintaining a trauma-informed, culturally competent approach, advocating for participants, and developing viable care plans. Requires trauma-informed practice, ethical professional behavior, strong communication, and ability to work with diverse populations. Schedule includes mornings, afternoons, and overnights with shift differential; payrate is $34.66 per hour (non-exempt). Reports to Site Director/LCSW for Ulster County Crisis Support Center.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Social Work (LMSW) or current LMSW/LMHC license
- Three years of experience
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of electronic medical records
- Knowledge of community resources
- Ability to pass background checks
- Schedule flexibility
- Lived experience preferred
- Working knowledge of clinic policies and procedures
- Masters Degree in Social Work (LMSW) / Current License LMSW or LMHC
