Per Diem Laborist

Job Summary
Conduct history and physical examinations, provide consultations, and round on assigned patients while adhering to standardized orders and evidence-based medicine. Deliver cost-effective, high-quality care with regular communication to referring physicians, patients, and families, and participate in quality improvement and patient education initiatives. Maintain current medical records, submit accurate billing information, and supervise advanced practitioners. Attend continuing medical education to maintain licensure and practice group meetings. Requires MD or DO licensure with board certification in the specialty, current Medicare/Medicaid eligibility, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty
- Current or recent experience in area of specialty
- MD or DO - licensed by the state licensure board within the state of practice
- Board Certified/Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board
- Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges
- Eligible and maintain eligibility as a provider of Medicare, Medicaid and other federal health programs
- Meet all qualifications to participate in programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage
- Provide employment history for the past seven (7) years
- Sitting for up to 5 hours per day; 1 hour at a time
- Standing for up to 5 hours per day, 2 hours at a time
- Walking for up to 3 hours per day; 1 hour at a time
- Fingering and handling small objects frequently
- Twisting and turning of hand occasionally
- Consistently lift, carry, and push objects up to 10 lbs
- Occasionally lift, carry and push objects up to 75 lbs
- Transport patients weighing up to 250 lbs via wheelchair or stretcher
- Frequently stoop and bend
- Frequently reach above shoulder level
- Must be able to perceive attributes of an object through touch
- Must be able to hear as it relates to normal conversation
- Seeing as is relates to general, near, far, color and peripheral vision
