Job Summary
Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, toileting, and skin care to prevent breakdown. Assist patients with dressing, ambulation, exercise, and medication administration while maintaining a clean living area. Prepare and serve nutritious meals, perform range of motion procedures, and monitor vital signs such as temperature and blood pressure. Report patient condition changes to the assigned nurse and adhere to documentation standards. Maintain current HHA license and CPR certification. Work per diem on the road with little direct supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired.
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification.
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization
- Must have a valid and active HHA License.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
