Job Summary
Per Diem ER/CCU Veterinary Technician at SAGE Campbell in Campbell, CA. Provide vital support to veterinarians on a per diem basis within a multidisciplinary veterinary team, primarily in emergency and critical care (ER/CCU). Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, medication dosing, CRIs and dose calculations, client communications and estimates, and maintaining required permits (VACSP or CA-RVT license). Requirements include a high school diploma and 2+ years of clinical veterinary experience; RVT eligibility and relevant emergency/ specialty experience preferred. Schedule is casual, with extra shifts as needed, and compensation ranges from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour for RVT roles and $25.00 to $36.00 per hour for SVA roles. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates
- Maintain California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
