Job Summary
Per Diem Emergency Dept Technician providing direct patient care under RN supervision, including bathing, hygiene, lifting, ambulation, and transport; collects specimens and delivers to lab, performs EKGs and phlebotomy, and conducts basic respiratory procedures (pulse oximetry, spirometry). Maintains aseptic technique and universal precautions; records vital signs, I&O, and interventions; assists with pre- and post-operative care and discharge; supports clerical tasks, order entry, and supply maintenance. Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and CNA/EDT/CNA experience or related certifications; CPR/BLS certification required; works in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active CNA certificate or Two (2) years of experience in a role as a PCA, Ed Tech or CNA in acute or long term care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Active CPR certificate required
- EMT
- Medical Assistant
- State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements: None.
