Job Summary
Assist persons served in a Vinfen setting by teaching skills to enhance independence and quality of life. Develop, implement, and document individual treatment support plans while providing daily rehabilitative, behavioral, and crisis interventions. Monitor progress, schedule appointments, and offer transportation to support community integration. Assess physical and emotional status, report changes to supervisors, and ensure site safety through daily living and cleaning tasks including cooking, meal planning, and housekeeping. Store, administer, and document medication per MAC requirements. Complete various paperwork and logs, including communication logs, chore schedules, and timesheets. Provide current contact information to the Relief Pool Coordinator or HR staff. Perform other related duties as required. First Aid and CPR certifications required within two weeks of hire.
Required Qualifications
- One to three months experience in a human services setting
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license
- At least 21 years of age
- Maintained a valid US driver's license for at least six months
- Ability to pass a driver's screening background check
- Safe driving record
- Adequate insurance (if using a personal vehicle)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or the use of a two-person lift
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer
- Ability to sit, reach, climb stairs, and maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways
- Ability to assist clients with tasks of daily living
- Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives
