Job Summary
Per Diem CNA role providing personal care and comfort to hospice patients under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with baths, dressing, feeding, measurement of vitals, monitoring patient condition, providing communication to patients and families, maintaining confidentiality, ensuring safety, aiding in ambulation and transfers, assisting with medications per state regulations, supporting plan of care documentation, and participating in quality improvement activities. Ideal candidate will demonstrate compassionate, autonomous work style, strong communication, empathy for patients and families, and flexibility to meet patient needs within a hospice clinical setting in Murray, UT.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Utah
- Preferred to have one (1) year experience in community health/hospice or medical/surgical environments
- Must have completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training
- Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with organization/state requirements and is in good working order
- Willingness to submit to a criminal background check prior to hire and annually thereafter
- Current CPR certification
