Job Summary
Answer phones, schedule and manage appointments for radiology technologists, and conduct outreach calls for follow-up. Optimize patient flow and access by determining urgency and priority of emergent exams while verifying insurance coverage and collecting co-pays. Process referrals, manage patient check-ins, and coordinate image sharing and result communications per department protocol. Maintain orderly waiting rooms and provide back-up coverage for support staff across multiple locations. Adhere to HIPAA privacy guidelines and protect patient confidentiality throughout all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, etc.
- Access to reliable transportation
- Valid US driver's license
- Prior experience in a medical/clinical setting
- Previous experience in a job requiring the ability to multi-task and prioritize activities
- Previous EPIC experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong time management skills
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a busy medical/clinical office environment
- Ability to work with constant contact with patients and clinicians
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions
