Job Summary
Answer phones, schedule and manage appointments, and conduct outreach calls for the radiology department. Optimize patient flow, access, and scheduling while determining urgency and priority of emergent exams. Assist patients with referral processing, verify insurance coverage, collect co-pays, and make reminder calls. Process image requests, manage patient flow, monitor referral queues, and coordinate imaging sharing and result communications. Maintain orderly waiting rooms and provide backup coverage for support staff across Dedham and Weymouth locations. Adhere to HIPAA privacy guidelines and protect patient confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, etc.
- Access to reliable transportation
- Valid US driver's license
- Prior experience in a medical/clinical setting
- Previous experience in a job requiring the ability to multi-task and prioritize activities
- Previous EPIC experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong time management skills
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a busy medical/clinical office environment
- Ability to work with constant contact with patients and clinicians
