Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including building systems and changeover production line equipment. Diagnose equipment malfunctions for adjustments, interact daily with computerized maintenance programs, and upgrade areas with new technology while working with outside contractors. Execute all assigned duties in a safe, productive manner following direction from Maintenance Leadhand, Supervisors, and Department Managers within a multi-department team environment. Maintain orderly work areas and adhere to physical demands involving lifting loads up to 85 lbs and performing frequent climbing, kneeling, and reaching. Requires Red Seal Millwright Certification and willingness to work graveyard or weekend shifts with overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Millwright Certification
- Class 4 Boiler Certificate
- Must be able to work graveyard shifts and overtime as required
- Must be a Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright or have completed an Industrial Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship
- Knowledge of machine control systems, safety control system and troubleshooting them
- Able to lift/carry large loads up to 50-85 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and grasping
- Ability to read and understand layout drawings and machine parts manuals
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred
- Class 4 Power Engineer Certificate (PepsiCo will pay for training courses)
- Bottle and Can Line maintenance experience in the food/packaged goods industry
- Willing to contribute and dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint
- Able to work with machine shop tools and welders in a safe productive setting
