PeopleSoft System Administrator

Job Summary

Monitor the PeopleSoft application daily by reviewing logs, ensuring process operations, and diagnosing technical issues. Execute code migrations, Data Mover executions, and in-app configurations across development environments while maintaining database cloning processes. Collaborate with DBAs to troubleshoot performance issues and configure the PeopleTools stack on multiple networks and OS platforms. Perform quarterly patching of components including WebLogic and Elasticsearch, apply change packages, and manage PeopleTools upgrades on Windows and Linux systems. Provide hardware recommendations and translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years PeopleSoft system administration experience
  • Must have experience with current PeopleSoft version (Application version 9.2, Tools version 8.57+)
  • Strong understanding/knowledge of networking concepts, server administration, and operating system concepts and fundamentals
  • Strong understanding/knowledge of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture including security components, specifically in an Oracle Linux and WebLogic hosting environment
  • Knowledge and experience installing and configuring PeopleSoft and related architecture including web, application, and database servers as well as middle ware
  • Knowledge and experience applying bundles, patches and upgrades to PeopleSoft using PeopleSoft Update Manager & Change Assistant
  • Knowledge and experience working with change management software to migrate changes
  • Experience in performing PeopleSoft environment refresh procedures, performance tuning, system monitoring and maintenance, troubleshooting of PeopleSoft process schedulers
  • Experience setting up automation of monitoring space allocation and troubleshoot PeopleSoft application issues
  • Debugging and optimizing SQL statements within PS Query, COBOL, and Application Engine programs
  • Ability to independently organize work, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple and changing priorities
  • Must have the ability to work collaboratively with teams and effectively interact with Project Manager, Lead Technical Analysts, Technical developers and Business team
  • Analyzing and/or eliciting, clarifying, and validating user's needs / business requirements and translating them into technical design requirements, workflows, business rules, specifications, etc
