Job Summary
Experienced PeopleSoft PeopleTools Engineer responsible for the architecture, installation, configuration, upgrade, and ongoing technical operation of enterprise PeopleSoft environments. Own the technical backbone of the PeopleSoft platform, including PeopleTools upgrades, image applications, security configurations, search server operations, and integration with cloud and middleware platforms. Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, well-documented solutions. Lead upgrades and deployments, manage application servers and schedulers, administer search deployments, perform system copies, implement HA/DR, develop automation tooling (shell, Python, Ansible), monitor health and performance, provide post-go-live support, maintain comprehensive documentation, and mentor junior engineers to raise the team’s technical maturity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Five or more years of PeopleSoft PeopleTools administration experience
- Hands-on experience with PeopleTools upgrades and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM)
- Strong experience with WebLogic, Tuxedo, and PeopleSoft application/process scheduler servers
- Experience administering Elasticsearch / OpenSearch in support of PeopleSoft
- Working knowledge of Oracle Database administration
- Strong Linux/Unix skills and shell scripting experience
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation tooling
- Experience operating HA/DR for PeopleSoft
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

- Familiarity with CI/CD patterns for PeopleSoft change management (preferred)
- Experience with PeopleSoft Selective Adoption strategy (preferred)
