Job Summary
Experienced PeopleSoft PeopleTools Engineer to own the architecture, installation, upgrade, and ongoing technical operation of enterprise PeopleSoft environments. Lead upgrades and patch deployments, manage servers (WebLogic, Tuxedo, schedulers), administer Elasticsearch/OpenSearch for PeopleSoft search, perform system copies and DR planning, and implement automation (shell/Python/Ansible) to reduce toil. Ensure secure, scalable, and well-documented environments, provide post-go-live support, and mentor junior engineers while partnering with cross-functional teams. 100% remote in the continental United States, direct W2 employment, SOW-based long-term engagement, and no third-party clients. Requires 5+ years of PeopleTools experience, Oracle DB, Linux/Unix, and strong DevOps fundamentals; H1B sponsorship not offered for new hires (transfers welcomed).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Five or more years of PeopleSoft PeopleTools administration experience
- Hands-on experience with PeopleTools upgrades and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM)
- Strong experience with WebLogic, Tuxedo, and PeopleSoft application/process scheduler servers
- Experience administering Elasticsearch / OpenSearch in support of PeopleSoft
- Working knowledge of Oracle Database administration
- Strong Linux/Unix skills and shell scripting experience
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation tooling
- Experience operating HA/DR for PeopleSoft
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
