Job Summary
Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle by leading recruitment and onboarding, handling offboarding and exit interviews, and maintaining accurate HRIS records. Deliver day-to-day guidance across performance management, health and safety, learning and development, and culture initiatives while supporting the rollout of people policies and projects. Coordinate bi-monthly after-work staff events and annual Whānau Days, actively promote a proactive safety culture through the H&S Committee, and contribute to refining people processes with mentorship from senior colleagues. This full-time role is based at the Auckland City Campus with travel to other campuses as required.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Experience in an HR Advisor or similar role
- A foundational understanding of New Zealand employment legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to juggle competing priorities
- Responsibility for the end-to-end people cycle
- Ability to coordinate and lead after-work staff events
- Ability to lead two Saturdays a year for Whānau Days
