Job Summary
Leads the talent acquisition for hourly roles, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring for all hourly positions; partners with site leadership to understand required skills. Drives onboarding, performance and training activities, and supports employee relations, engagement, retention, and recognition programs. Ensures consistent application of HR programs and processes, maintains HRIS entries for career changes, and supports lean manufacturing initiatives. Works with site leaders to maintain compliant records for Michigan operations, supports three shifts across applicable locations, and may travel up to 10% domestically. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business, 3+ years HR experience (manufacturing focus preferred), and HR certification is strongly preferred; proficient with Michigan labor laws, HRIS, Microsoft Office, and capable of coaching leaders to foster an inclusive, high-performance culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred
- Proficient in Michigan labor laws
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting multi-shift operations and hourly employee populations
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Skilled in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS and communication platforms preferred
- Ability to influence and coach leaders to drive positive employee outcomes
