Job Summary
Drive cross-functional collaboration to lead workstreams and change management initiatives that improve efficiency and employee experience. Own the end-to-end design and execution of people processes, while configuring HRIS systems and automating workflows to maintain data integrity. Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing coaching and problem-solving support throughout the employee lifecycle. Manage compliance across employment legislation in the UK, Netherlands, USA, Germany, Singapore, and Japan, ensuring policies meet legal standards and risks are flagged early. Administer compensation cycles, benefits programs, and payroll inputs in partnership with Finance. Support immigration and global mobility processes for new hires, coordinating residence permits and work authorizations with external providers. Report to the Head of People in Amsterdam with an expectation of three days in-office per week.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years in People Operations or a generalist HR role where the work was fundamentally about making things run
- Experience building things from scratch, inheriting broken processes and fixing them
- Understanding of what it takes to keep the operational side of a People function healthy at scale
- Deep experience with at least one HR system as the person who configured it, audited data quality, built workflows, and pushed its limits
- Knowledge of where systems break down, how to work around constraints, and how to evaluate whether a tool serves the business
- Familiarity with employment law in the UK, Netherlands, USA, Germany, Singapore, and Japan
- Experience working across at least some of the listed jurisdictions
- Ability to notice inconsistencies in fields, contradictory policies, and skipped offboarding steps
- Habit of fixing issues or ensuring someone fixes them regardless of technical ownership
- Ability to make calls on what matters most when everything is urgent and unclear
- Comfort holding multiple workstreams without dropping any
- Ability to distinguish things that need to be perfect from things that just need to be done
- Writing style that is clear, precise, and without unnecessary complexity
- Ability to write process documents and policies that can be followed by someone not in the room
- Defaulting to plain language in writing
- Ability to build trust quickly and communicate clearly without jargon
- Ability to get alignment across teams who don't share context
- Comfort influencing without authority
- Ability to push back when something isn't right
- Ability to bring people along when cooperation is needed
