Job Summary

Obsidian Therapeutics seeks a People Operations Generalist to own HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, role and reporting changes, offboarding, benefits administration, HR systems management, and personnel records. You will be a primary contact for employees, partner with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless experience, maintain HR data and documentation, coordinate compliance training, support employee communications and engagement initiatives, and assist with performance management and talent processes. The role supports a growing clinical-stage cell therapy program (OBX-115) and requires collaboration across the People function to scale operations, improve workflows, and prepare for increased operational complexity in a fast-paced biotech environment. Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience; experience in biotech or regulated fast-growing settings strongly preferred; excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to manage multiple priorities with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • typically 5+ years of relevant HR or People Operations experience
  • Experience in biotech, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or another regulated, fast-growing environment strongly preferred
  • Strong operational orientation with the ability to manage details accurately while improving processes for scale
  • Working knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, benefits administration, HR systems, compliance training, and employee documentation
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with cross-functional responsibilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, collaborative, flexible, and self-motivated with strong follow-through
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and time management skills
  • Collaborative and accountable mindset; team-oriented with ability to build relationships across functions
  • Self-motivated with ability to meet objectives, timelines, and high standards in parallel
