Job Summary
Own employment compliance and people-operations backbone for a high-growth robotics company. Manage multi-state wage-hour compliance, I-9 and immigration matters coordination with outside counsel, leave and benefits administration, policy maintenance, and payroll data integrity. Run onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and support SOC 2 and security audits while partnering with finance, HRIS (Rippling), benefits broker, and external counsel to scale the function across the US and international footprint. Build processes, close loops, and maintain audit-ready records in a fast-moving environment; collaborate with VP of Talent and cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, efficient, and transparent people operations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in HR, people operations, or employment compliance
- US multi-state employment compliance experience, especially California
- I-9 and employment eligibility requirements knowledge
- experience administering leave programs and benefits compliance
- operational process development and documentation
- ability to escalate sensitively to legal when needed
