Job Summary

Temp-to-Hire People Operations Administrator based in San Diego, CA, supporting the HR department with accurate handling of employee information, maintaining compliance with federal/state/local laws, and providing admin support across HR functions. Responsibilities include managing confidential records in Workday and SharePoint, administering drug and alcohol screening programs, supporting new-hire processes (I-9, EDD reporting), responding to unemployment claims, coordinating actions with managers, IT, payroll and external vendors, generating HR reports, ensuring timesheet compliance, and cross-training within HR Operations. Requires attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and readiness to travel to job sites and offices as needed; may transition from contingent to permanent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Workday experience preferred; Spanish language skills a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–4 years HR support or administrative experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is a plus
  • HR certifications (e.g., A-PHR, SHRM-CP) beneficial but not required
  • Familiarity with full employee lifecycle and HR administrative processes
  • Ability to travel to job sites and office locations as needed
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Workday experience preferred

Desired Qualifications

  • 2–4 years HR support or administrative experience
  • HR certifications beneficial but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field a plus
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • Experience with Workday and HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
