People Generalist

Job Summary
Remote People Generalist role supporting policy and procedure administration, employee relations and retention, performance management, and regulatory compliance. Uses AI-assisted tools (Workday, Copilot in Word/Teams, AI-assisted policy reviews) to draft documentation, meeting notes, corrective actions, and summarize regulatory updates. Partners with HR leaders on processes and procedures, compliance with federal/state/local employment laws, and cross-functional project work. Requires strong communication, diplomacy, collaboration, and ability to handle high-priority tasks with deadlines. Preferred 3-5 years HR Generalist experience, HR regulatory knowledge (EEOC/ADA/FMLA/Workers Comp/Unemployment), and a Bachelor’s degree in HR with PHR/SPHR or SHRM designations preferred. AI-enabled tooling experience and openness to automation to improve workflows are valued.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as an HR Generalist/Specialist
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP designation preferred
- Strong knowledge of EEOC, ADA, FMLA, Workers Comp, Unemployment and employee relations
- Experience with AI-enabled tools in HR workflows
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience using AI tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, or process automation (payroll or adjacent workflows)
- Comfort experimenting with automation, prompts, and system capabilities to reduce manual work
