Job Summary

Interpret and collate data from the Australian Red Cross Belonging Survey, research meaningful youth engagement practices across NGOs and the Red Cross network, and analyze effective reward and recognition frameworks aligned with organizational values. Produce written reports, presentations, or practical tools based on findings from academic literature and current sector strategies. This student placement supports the People & Culture Division's Inclusion & Diversity and Workforce Strategy initiatives. The role runs for 12 weeks, 7.6 hours per day on Wednesdays, and requires strong research, data analysis, and interpersonal skills. Candidates must hold or obtain a Working With Children Check and complete a National Police Check.

Required Qualifications

  • National Police Check
  • Working With Children Check or Working With Vulnerable People Check
  • University level psychology students
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to take initiative and self-direction
  • Research and data analysis skills
  • Conversational skills and presentation capabilities
  • Computer skills, including MS suite (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Availability required: Wednesdays
  • 7.6 hours per day for 1 day per week (9:00am – 5:06pm) for 12 weeks
