Job Summary
Support day-to-day HR operations by administering benefits, leave, and performance management while managing the employee lifecycle from requisition through offboarding. Maintain HRIS data integrity by reviewing records for accuracy, running standard reports, and coordinating updates for benefits and personnel actions. Ensure compliance with federal and California employment laws through precise documentation and recordkeeping of confidential employee files. Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and employment verification requests, escalating complex matters as needed. Collaborate with managers to support HR initiatives and consistent policy application.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant HR administrative or coordinator experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience working in a nonprofit environment
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG or similar platforms)
- Working knowledge of California employment practices and compliance requirements
