Job Summary
Build deep cross-functional relationships with business unit leaders to align talent strategies and autonomously diagnose organizational bottlenecks, interpersonal challenges, and process gaps. Directly manage operational workflows across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and system updates, while serving as the primary contact for employee inquiries on policies, benefits, and leave administration. Drive continuous performance management frameworks, oversee local office operations and facilities administration, and ensure compliance with Ontario labor laws, human rights codes, and health and safety protocols. Forecast headcount needs and implement scalable workforce structures to support client groups within the advertising technology sector.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience
- at least 2 years in a dedicated HRBP or strategic People Partner capacity
- Track record of driving projects independently from ambiguity to execution with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex problems, weigh risks, and implement sound, pragmatic solutions
- Strong knowledge of Ontario ESA standards, human rights legislation, OHSA requirements, and contract law principles
- Willingness and discipline to seamlessly switch between big-picture strategic thinking and detail-oriented administrative execution
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or equivalent practical experience
- Location: Onsite or hybrid (3 days a week) in our Toronto office
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting groups within advertising technology, SaaS, media logistics, or fast-paced digital services environments
- Professional certifications such as CPHR or CHRP/CHRL designation (Human Resources Professionals Association) or SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
- Experience navigating hybrid/remote global workforces across multiple time zones
- Hands-on proficiency with modern HRIS platforms (Bob, Workable, etc.) and administrative workflows
- Prior experience managing physical office spaces or facilities coordination alongside HR responsibilities in Ontario
- Experience supporting media, entertainment technology, SaaS, or advertising services teams
