Job Summary

Build deep cross-functional relationships with business unit leaders to align talent strategies and forecast headcount needs alongside Finance. Directly manage operational workflows across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and system updates, while maintaining complete data integrity in HRIS. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and leave administration. Lead organizational change initiatives, investigate complex employee relations issues, and ensure compliance with California Labor Code, FEHA, and Cal/OSHA safety standards. Drive performance management frameworks, identify high-potential talent for succession planning, and oversee local office operations including vendor relationships and workplace safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience
  • at least 2 years in a dedicated HRBP or strategic People Partner capacity
  • Track record of driving projects independently from ambiguity to execution with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex problems, weigh risks, and implement sound, pragmatic solutions
  • Deep knowledge of California labor laws, wage-and-hour compliance, FEHA guidelines, and Cal/OSHA workplace safety standards
  • Willingness and discipline to seamlessly switch between big-picture strategic thinking and detail-oriented administrative execution
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or equivalent practical experience
  • Onsite or hybrid (3 days a week) in our Burbank office

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting groups within advertising technology, SaaS, media logistics, or fast-paced digital services environments
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
  • Experience navigating hybrid/remote global workforces across multiple time zones
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern HRIS platforms (Bob, Workable, etc.) and administrative workflows
  • Prior experience managing workplace facilities, safety plans, or site operations alongside HR responsibilities in California
  • Experience supporting media, entertainment technology, SaaS, or advertising services teams
