Job Summary
Act as a strategic partner to the Australian business, delivering proactive service on employee relations, policy guidance, and talent reviews. Analyze people data to inform recommendations and support lifecycle matters including redundancies, resignations, and performance management. Solicit employee opinions to foster two-way dialogues between staff and management while collaborating with Reward, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Development teams. Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across the US, UK, and APAC regions. Work in a hybrid environment, proactively assist with process improvement initiatives, and carry out other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Prior experience working in a business partnering role within a HR/People team
- Employee Relations experience (redundancies, terminations, disciplinary, grievances, performance management)
- A good understanding of Australia employment law and HR policies, particularly employee relations and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex and/or sensitive information in a clear, concise, diplomatic and professional manner
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well independently and balance multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in People systems and comfortable with data analysis and reporting
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional and appropriate manner
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in financial services or asset management
- Experience working within a matrix organisation that has experienced a significant level of change
- Experience working with EU, US and other APAC offices
