Job Summary
Own the National Early Childhood Worker Register, lodge changes within 14 days, and manage Working With Children Check verifications across NSW and Victoria. Lead end-to-end onboarding in Employment Hero and offboarding processes, including exit interviews and system deactivation. Handle first-line employee relations, performance conversations, and grievances, escalating complex matters to the Executive General Manager. Advise Centre Leaders on award interpretation and classification accuracy. Deliver monthly turnover and anniversary reporting, weekly engagement surveys, and compliance expiry reports without being chased. Administer traineeships and lodge funding claims. Support Area Managers with recruitment templates, screening structures, and interview guides. Restart performance cycles and engagement action planning once compliance is solid. Write and maintain procedures for recruitment, onboarding, and reporting to ensure continuity.
Required Qualifications
- Generalist HR experience in a multi-site business
- A track record of holding statutory compliance records at scale, without being chased
- Working knowledge of the modern awards covering Early Childhood Education and Care
- Experience across NSW and Victoria, or the demonstrated ability to get across the differences quickly
- Employee relations experience where your documentation held up afterwards
- Strong HRIS capability
- A current Working With Children Check, or eligibility to hold one
- A direct line to the Executive General Manager

Desired Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education and Care, aged care, health or another regulated sector with mandatory worker checks
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources, industrial relations or business
