People and Culture Manager

Job Summary
People & Culture Manager responsible for overseeing payroll in coordination with a third-party provider, managing exempt/non-exempt recruitment and onboarding, administering benefits, maintaining HRIS, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and generating HR reports. Leads performance management processes, supports leave administration (FMLA and related leave), and cultivates employee development and onboarding programs. Growth opportunities exist toward the People & Culture Director role within a mission-driven organization; hybrid/remote considerations are stated, with in-office requirements as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and/or equivalent experience
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification (preferred, but not required) or able to acquire within first year
- Minimum of four to six years of progressive Human Resources experience including sourcing, screening, interviewing, benefits administration, performance management, payroll processing, employee and labor relations, and training and development
