Job Summary
Pension Specialist role (6 months FTC) at Primark under People and Culture. Responsible for supporting Pensions and Risk Lead across markets, developing policy and process improvements for pension and risk benefit offerings, overseeing day-to-day pension operations (retirements, HRIS updates, invoicing), managing risk benefit claims and liaising with trustees and beneficiaries, and contributing to scheme renewals, rate reviews, and strategic HR/Benefits initiatives. Requires experience in UK/Ireland pension schemes, ability to manage multiple priorities, strong communication and stakeholder engagement, and proficiency with Office tools and Workday/HRIS. Role is hybrid based in Reading, UK.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years’ relevant experience in a UK or Republic of Ireland pensions role
- knowledge of both Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit schemes
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
- degree-level education or equivalent preferred (including pension qualifications)
