Job Summary
The SIU Investigator is responsible for conducting comprehensive investigations into potential fraud and misconduct, utilizing analytical skills and attention to detail. Key responsibilities include the analysis of documents, communication of findings, technical proficiency with investigative tools, and the ability to perform scene recreations and wellness checks. Candidates must have a background in insurance, access to reliable equipment, and the ability to travel and work independently.
Required Qualifications
- Background in insurance, including workers' compensation, auto, liability, or similar SIU experience
- Access to a reliable vehicle, computer, and cell phone for investigative purposes
- Ability and willingness to travel as necessary for investigations
- Ability to work independently and complete cases successfully with little supervision
- Must maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Must provide a copy of a recent driver history report
- Must be eligible for Private Investigator Employee Registration
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in using a digital video camera with date and time stamp capability for documentation
- Familiarity with web-based systems and the ability to write detailed reports
Additional Requirements
- Need to maintain a minimum auto insurance coverage of $150,000 / $250,000
