Job Summary
Penetration Testing Engineer responsible for performing penetration testing, vulnerability management, and software and system assurance across computer systems, applications, servers, and networks. Conduct offensive security activities such as reverse shell, SQL injections, social engineering, buffer overflows, trojan horses, password cracking tools and techniques, and privilege escalation. Assess threats and vulnerabilities, develop mitigation countermeasures, perform reconnaissance and open-source intelligence, enumerate target platforms and services, and develop exploit payloads and backdoors to identify weaknesses. Identify vulnerabilities and provide actionable solutions to enhance the Army National Guard enterprise network. Requires 3+ years of cyber penetration testing experience, operating in Linux/Windows/virtual platforms, knowledge of attack methods and defense technologies (SIEM/EDR/web application firewall), and Top Secret clearance. Bachelor’s Degree required; additional preferred experience in auditing source code (Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript) and familiarity with AI system security is noted.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with cyber penetration testing
- Experience operating in Linux, Windows, and virtual platforms
- Experience with computer attack methods and system exploitation techniques
- Experience leveraging adversarial tactics to conduct security testing
- Knowledge of functionality and capabilities of network defense technologies, including incident response, web application firewalls, SIEM, and EDR solutions
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree
