Job Summary
Penetration Tester responsible for identifying vulnerabilities within the bank's IT systems using penetration testing tools and techniques. Develop and execute assessments, audits, and threat models; communicate key findings and remediation guidance to stakeholders. Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand security requirements and improve overall security posture. Lead or contribute to complex tasks, coach team members, and align with Barclays Values and Leadership expectations. The role emphasizes hands-on testing across web, network/infrastructure, APIs, mobile apps, cloud, and related technologies, with emphasis on risk-based remediation and governance. Based in Pune, India.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on delivery experience in penetration testing
- Proficient in at least 3 domains: Web applications, Network/Infrastructure, APIs, Mobile Apps, Thick clients, MCPs/AI Agents/LLMs, Cloud environments
- Understanding of security mechanisms for Applications, Operating Systems, Networks, Databases, Virtualisation, Cloud technologies, AI
- Familiarity with cloud-native environments, container security, and infrastructure-as-code
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Certifications such as CREST/OSCP/SANS or equivalent pentesting certifications (valued)
- Red/Purple team experience
- Enterprise vulnerability management experience and threat modelling
