Job Summary
Evaluate and treat outpatient conditions in consultation with physicians, occasionally working under direct access. Apply therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy in accordance with state practice acts while documenting care per regulatory guidelines. Direct supervision of a Physical Therapist Assistant may be required. Collaborate with physicians, managers, and staff across the organization to share knowledge from continuing education courses. Maintain a safe environment and participate in community outreach events. Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Minnesota state license in Physical Therapy
- Ability to: Comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines
- Ability to: Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
- Ability to: Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
- Ability to: Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines. Prioritize workload effectively
- Ability to: Communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face, phone and email interactions
- Ability to: Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to: Frequently lift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to: Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift
- Ability to: Must be able to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, and reaching
- Ability to: Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents
- Ability to: Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly
- Ability to: Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer)
- Ability to: Work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to: Work a flexible schedule based on clinic needs including but not limited to variable shifts, multiple clinic locations, etc.
