Job Summary
Screen, test, evaluate, and treat injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities. Conduct evaluations and treatments according to professional standards, develop care plans with specific goals, and educate patients, families, and caregivers. Collaborate with care teams to deliver patient-centered care, supervise assistants and students, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement audits. Maintain thorough patient records, complete accurate billing, and contribute to program development strategies. Manage all aspects of patient care and education while engaging in continuing education to maintain licensure requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess skill sets and experience with target population of job setting
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment including heavy items
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Basic Computer skills
