Job Summary
Screen, test, evaluate, diagnose, and treat injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard practices. Consult, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers while collaborating with the OB/GYN provider team to deliver quality, patient-centered care. Conduct evaluations and treatments based on diagnosis, history, and physician referrals, developing care plans with specific goals. Manage patient care and supervision of assistants, aides, and students, ensuring thorough documentation and accurate billing. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare providers to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of rehabilitation services. Participate in quality improvement processes, utilization review audits, and continuing education opportunities. Maintain current licensure, BLS certification, and a valid driver's license. Located at Wellington OB-GYN Clinic in Grand Junction, Colorado, with a full-time 40-hour schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess skill sets and experience with target population of job setting
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
