Job Summary
The Peer Supports Coordinator facilitates the implementation of recovery-oriented practices, mentoring and supervising Peer Support Staff within ACCS. Responsibilities include providing training, support and direct service to individuals using ACCS, promoting empowerment and recovery through various strategies, and ensuring a culture of respect within the team. Applicants must be Certified Peer Specialists with at least 3 years of peer support experience, alongside demonstrated leadership and expertise in training.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Peer Specialist required.
- At least 3 years’ experience providing peer supports.
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a related position or with a related population.

- Demonstrated ability to model behaviors and attitudes consistent with a recovery-oriented culture and to educate staff members around recovery principles.
- Demonstrated leadership within the community of Peer Support Staff.
- Demonstrated expertise in providing training to others.
- Demonstrated supervisory, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Professional writing and oral communications skills.
- High degree of personal organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in word processing and other computer functions using Windows, Word, and Google Email and Apps.
