Job Summary
Peer Worker with lived experience of gambling harm, supporting recovery and hope within a multidisciplinary team. Use your lived experience to build trust, provide understanding and practical strategies to help clients access GambleAware services. Role involves traveling between Nowra and surrounding Shoalhaven locations (pool car provided), assisting with access, engagement, and building connections; duties include case notes and reports, and collaboration with the Community Coordinator. Requirements include a Cert IV in Community Services or Mental Health (or willingness to obtain), NSW driver’s licence, police check, and working with children/vulnerable people clearance. Benefits include not-for-profit salary packaging, counselling and chaplaincy support, and flexible, part-time hours up to 35 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Cert IV in Community Services or Mental Health (or willingness to obtain while working)
- Current NSW driver's licence
- National police history check
- Clearance to work with children/vulnerable people

- Availability to travel within NSW (e.g., Nowra to Wollongong)
