Peer Support Supervisor

Job Summary
Conduct at least one contact with beneficiaries every 90 days to monitor progress and review person-centered plans. Coordinate care transitions within 24 hours of hospital discharge or incarceration release. Plan work assignments, monitor staff performance, and provide monthly individual supervision to program staff. Facilitate recovery groups, ensure community referrals are completed, and maintain medical record compliance. Identify crisis response needs and participate in post-crisis debriefings. Review data to determine service appropriateness and lead quality improvement projects. Establish collaborative relationships with integrated care teams and community resources. Maintain a valid driver's license and adhere to START Wellness policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Meet North Carolina's definition of a Qualified Professional per 10A-NCAC 27G.0104
- A bachelor's degree in a field related to health, psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, or another relevant human services area, or licensure as a registered nurse (RN)
- Two years of experience working directly with members with behavioral health conditions (if serving members with behavioral health needs) or with an I/DD or a TBI (if serving members with I/DD or TBI needs)
- Trained in quality supervisory skills through an approved CPSS supervisory training program
- Complete the CPSS Certification program
- Possesses knowledge of the CPSS role and work
- Understand the principles and philosophy of recovery
- Understand the code of ethics of the NC Peer Support Specialist Certification Program
- Complete mandatory CPSS supervisor training within 90 days of hire
- Maintain a valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Acceptable criminal record
- Health Registry Check that adhere to standard of employment
- Demonstrate professional work ethics
- Complete training requirements
- Attends all training sessions as required by the agency
- Must have proficient interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Efficient with agency Electronic Health Record and/or documentation standards
- Effective oral and written communication
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Driving and travel may be required
