Job Summary

Model coping techniques and recovery tools to coach Veterans on self-management and wellness while participating in multidisciplinary team activities. Conduct field outreach and crisis interventions, assisting clients with moving logistics and advocating for needed services. Use individual and group meetings to teach Veterans how to combat negative self-talk and share experiences. Maintain accurate documentation of service objectives and outcomes in required systems. Attend daily and weekly meetings, supervision, and case conferences as assigned. This role supports engagement and stabilization for Veterans enrolled in the HUD-VASH program, requiring substantial field work and a current California driver's license.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to cope/resolve conflict and crisis situations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and in a team
  • Takes initiative and has a solution focused practice
  • Proficient in use of computers, including Microsoft Office software and familiarity with database platforms to efficiently track service delivery
  • Must have a current California driver's license and insurance for regular driving and transporting
  • Must complete the VA designated Peer Specialist-approved certification course
  • Veteran

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (desired but not required)
