Job Summary
Deliver peer support services using personal recovery experience to inspire hope and mentor individuals on their own recovery journeys. Collaborate with clinical staff to establish supervision plans, identify personal strengths, and facilitate community integration while modeling recovery-oriented attitudes. Assist beneficiaries in navigating healthcare, social service, and legal systems, promoting self-advocacy and decision-making tools for healthy lifestyle choices. Recognize and respond to emergency or crisis situations following agency procedures, maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state regulations. Work in office, residential, and community settings with local travel required, adhering to a flexible schedule that may include evenings or weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS)
- Personal lived experience in recovery from substance use
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible schedule including some evenings or weekends
