Job Summary
Provide peer-based recovery support in an outpatient addiction treatment setting; serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to individuals in recovery, sharing personal recovery experiences and building authentic peer-to-peer relationships. Responsibilities include transporting patients in a company vehicle as needed, assisting with barriers to treatment, conducting education on wellness and recovery skills, documenting in EMR, coordinating referrals and resources, offering goal-planning and care navigation, coaching clients through daily challenges, and participating in team trainings. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, state-certified peer support qualifications or eligibility within guidance, CPR/MANDT certification updates, one year of recovery, valid driver’s license, and up to 75% travel locally; OH-specific requirements include 40-hour training or 3 years of verifiable health peer services experience, and ethics/background checks. Preferred education includes an associate or bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences and one year of related experience. 40-hour shifts on Tue-Fri (5:30a-4p) in Covedale, OH with on-site (in-person) work; benefits include PTO, 401k with match, training and certifications, comprehensive health coverage, STAR LRP, and tuition scholarships.
