Job Summary
Provide crisis intervention alongside EMS to individuals experiencing substance use crises and overdoses in Baltimore City. Establish crisis plans, connect individuals to treatment and support services, link clients to care, document clinical and client information accurately, collaborate with EMS, BCRI staff, and community partners, and support recovery and wellness through a strengths-based approach. Responsibilities include working with clients in crisis to develop crisis plans, facilitating linkage to care, maintaining professional boundaries, and supporting ongoing recovery efforts. Must have Peer Support Specialist Certification, a valid driver’s license, and at least two years in peer recovery with some supervisory experience; high school diploma required (associate degree preferred).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (associate degree preferred)
- Peer Support Specialist Certification is required
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum two years’ experience in peer recovery
- 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience
- Knowledge of mental health and addiction resources in Baltimore City
